We begin the official Mo*Con festivities with our traditional “Alethea Kontis welcoming dinner” of fettucine alfredo and chicken marsala.  Friday night our featured and guest artists will be a part of a First Friday event.  Also, there will be a spoken word summit that will serve as a fundraiser for Second Story.  Our lunch and dinner plans for Saturday (tentatively) include Cajun and Indian food (as well as dishes for those who aren’t particular fans of such cuisine).  Since it is our mission to kill you with food, we do our best to try and accommodate everyone with their dietary requests.   As with all things with Mo*Con, please bear with us as it’s not a perfect system (though it is a laid back one) and we do try to ensure everyone has a good time.

Our Saturday “programming” schedule is fluid with our start times varying as the day goes on. We will have our usual mix of panels, readings, art demonstrations/reception, and award ceremony. You’re more than welcome to bring as much alcohol with you as you’d like.  Room parties are encouraged and as always, you will be subject to the Broaddus family hospitality suite.

On Sunday we essentially have a day long dead dog party.  Folks arrive at our announce location after hotel check out and we keep rolling out food until everyone goes home.  If you have any questions, drop us a line at Maurice[at]MauriceBroaddus[dot]com
